According to figures from the operator Autoroute Paris-Rhin-Rhône (APRR), road transport activity picked up considerably during the first quarter of 2010.

The APRR’s revenue rose by 4.4 %, due mainly to the volume of HGV traffic, although the toll rises (0.5% last February) will also have played a part in the success of Europe’s fourth biggest motorway operator.

According to APRR, traffic levels have increased by 2.8% in a year, the first positive change after six quarters of contraction.
