Following a toll decrees, the tariffs will be indexed in Brussels and Flanders. This year, it will take place on 1 July 2018.
TO DO BEFORE 1 JULY to make sure your OBUs get the latest software update
KEEP ALL YOUR OBUs SWITCHED ON as much as possible before 1 July, EVEN WHEN ABROAD!
Using a specific OBU for the first time?
Keep it SWITCHED ON during at least 1 HOUR
Spare OBUs?
REGULARLY KEEP them SWITCHED ON during at least 3 HOURS
What happens if your OBU hasn't downloaded the software update before 1 july?
After 30 June, the update will be automatically downloaded when you switch on your OBU.
You can thus immediately start to drive! If the OBU light turns red (signal that the OBU is restarting to activate the new tariffs), you will have to stop driving and to wait until the OBU light turns green again before continuing your journey.
This can take about 5 minutes.
